Red House/The Daughters of Salamasina, installation

Castro lives in San Diego, Calif.  Due to unforeseen dangerous weather conditions, she was unable to come to Chicago to create the  installation.To acknowledge her work, ARC showed a video document of her previous installation. A description follows: Inspired by the history and traditions of Samoan women, and their persistent presence in contemporary Samoan culture.  Castro, states her personal interest in culture as "communicating the holographic of tradition through an architectural landscape of drawings, paintings, sculpture and sound."
