Good Grief examines the relationship between grief and joy, loss and gain, and two generations that never had the chance to meet. Artist Laura Farahzad Mayer examines the relationship with her father and the relationship she now has with her own children, confronting ideas of loss, memory, culture and generational storytelling. 

About the artist

Laura Farahzad Mayer is an Iranian American interdisciplinary artist based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Her work is informed by her upbringing in a small town as the daughter of an immigrant as well as her role now as a mother.
