“Art Mapping: Exploring the Neighborhood with Libby School Students,” various media

Inspired by satellite maps, young people ages 8 to 13 created the exhibition, which includes documentary photography and map creations.  Libby School’s after-school mapping project, was led by Chicago artists Zena Sakowski and Melinda Fries, who worked together with art teacher Jill Adams, and students from the “Back of the Yards” and Englewood neighborhoods.   image by Altrous L. & Takenya W.
