“Stations of Her Undoing,” assemblage.

A fourteen-piece exhibition calling attention to the various abuses women suffer, “many so ingrained in our psyche that we think nothing of them, and even participate willingly in them.” An extension of the artist’s wish “to raise awareness about socially relevant issues and to educate and motivate with my artwork.”

Jess Ferrone

Show ran from 12/1/2007 to 12/22/2007

“The Unconfirmed Internal,”  mixed media

Ferrone’s artwork is inspired by a group of young women asked to describe structures they imagined within themselves.  From the physical to the psychological, the work reveals the “inner eye” of body image, and acknowledges its mysterious role in self perception.

“Unheard Melodies,” oil paint on canvas

Opening Reception:   Friday, November 30,  from 6-9 p.m.

Laurie Sucher offers realist renderings of people and places, with a sound installation.   The artist is also a musician.  “Music finds its way into my paintings in unknown ways, in ways that are impossible to name or measure, but real for me.  I am searching for, and moved by, energies of rhythm, melody/line, harmony, tone and color, whether expressed visually or aurally.”
