“A Study in Transformation,”  paintings

“I am continuing to explore the spiritual potential of image making. My use of appropriation raises questions…and evokes the Buddhist notion of emptiness. I am removing works of art from their historical bearings and creating new contexts and meanings for them…moving past a deconstructive criticism to a non-verbal realm of poetic impulse.”

“A Place at the Table,”  drawings and paintings

A juried members’ exhibition of the Chicago Chapter of WCA, with additional works from a traveling exhibition of chairs sponsored by the Minneapolis Chapter of WCA. “Chairscapes represents the places where we sit, or are excluded from sitting, ‘at the table’ based on gender and/or culture. Common chairs, benches, rugs, or cushions, or images of such become chairscapes at a symbolic table.”
